My “work” has gone through many metamorphoses as I have juggled my gigantic visionary ambitions and my desire for freedom in all things, with the necessary rites of passage of time & worldly experience, & the requisite of earning.

  • Systems Thinking & Solution Formulation: Familiar with causal loop diagrams & designing holistic interventions that consider all dimensions of a systemic problem.

  • Data Analysis & Presentation of Findings: Highly proficient with Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Able to analyse data, work with pivot tables, generate custom charts and graphics, and display findings in the form of a slick report or deck. If needed can do more complex numerical analytics with MatLab. Happy to provide samples of past work if desired.

  • Desktop Research: Able to conduct in-depth studies using publicly available data, scoped by a research question related to the technologies, regulations, markets, or any other reasonable area in the realm of sustainability.

  • Interviews & Stakeholder Engagement: Capable of preparing, executing and analysing interviews for the purposes of research, materiality assessments, etc.

  • Social Media and Strategic Communications: Able to craft communications targeting a range of audiences, including investors, shareholders, customers, the general public. Decently good with website design & creation.

  • Financial Modelling: Creation, manipulation and testing simple financial models. Particularly proficient in models for carbon projects.

  • The Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCM): I have a comprehensive understanding of the entire carbon value chain & key players in the space. I am able to advise regarding credit categories, project technicalities, regulation, & financing.

  • Resilience of City Water Supply Systems: I have a deep understanding of large scale water supply networks, and can advise around holistic and novel approaches to water supply infrastructure, data management, & governance.

  • Corporate Sustainability Strategies & Reporting: I am familiar with the typical elements of materiality assessments, sustainability strategies, standards & cyclical reporting requirements.

  • Other Tools in the Box: GHG Lifecycle Analysis, Value Chain Analysis, Multi-Criteria Decision Making tools, Resilience Assessments & Strategies, Investment Proposals and Decks.

  • Side Hustle Interests: I am particularly interested in any paradigm-shifting work that looks to redesign fundamental economic, social and cognitive structures. For example, circular economy approaches, value chain innovation, normative accountive (e.g. Rethinking Capital), novel concepts of ownership & frameworks of exchange (e.g. Dark Matter Labs), and generally anything radical and deeply human (e.g. Charles Eisenstein & Bayo Akomolafe).
